Senior Front-end Engineer (React + .NET/Back-end Exposure)

Experience and Skills

• Senior level experience with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of production React experience, including deep proficiency in hooks, functional components, and state management.
• Strong command of TypeScript and ES6+.
• Working experience with .NET (C#) for backend development, including building or maintaining APIs, and comfortable reading or writing backend code.
• Proven track record of optimizing frontend performance, including bundle size, render cycles, and lazy loading.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous JavaScript patterns.
• C1 English level or higher.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build complex React components and feature modules with minimal guidance.
• Optimize application performance through code splitting, memoization, and efficient state management.
• Review code and mentor mid-level developers on React best practices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design API contracts and data flows, engaging directly in discussions to unblock integration issues.
• Contribute to or troubleshoot backend .NET code when needed, particularly around API endpoints consumed by the frontend.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across various browsers and devices, as well as issues that span the frontend and backend boundary.
• Maintain high test coverage and documentation standards on both frontend and backend-adjacent work.

This role is for a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive the development of responsive, high-performance web interfaces using React, with working knowledge of backend development in .NET. You will own feature implementation end to end, from component architecture to production deployment, working with autonomy on a remote team distributed across LATAM. You will make architectural decisions and collaborate closely with backend engineers to design clean, maintainable systems. This requires navigating the .NET codebase to understand data flows, debug integration issues, or contribute directly to API-related work. Your work directly shapes user experience for a highly precise tax preparation platform where speed, accuracy, and accessibility are critical.
