UX Product Lead

Experience and Skills

• 6 or more years of UX and product design in consumer-facing (B2C) fintech: onboarding, digital banking, KYC/identity, digital wallets, or AI copilots. Internal B2B or enterprise tooling is not the target background.
• Consumer psychology as the primary lens: a proven ability to understand and design for what users feel in high-stakes moments — fear, distrust, and anxiety about sharing sensitive data. This is the #1 must-have; the candidate should surface the emotional dimension on their own, not need it explained.
• Strong understanding of user behavior under financial anxiety, conversion optimization, and mobile-first native flows.
• C1 English level or higher.
• A portfolio available to share during the hiring process, showing real end-to-end flows, not only UI.
• A concrete track record of reducing drop-off and improving funnel completion, backed by real metrics.
• Experience designing for vulnerable or high-perceived-risk users (e.g. elderly, low-digital-literacy, public banking, real KYC or biometric verification).

Key Responsibilities

• Own user psychology and customer journeys, identifying friction points and designing intuitive experiences around user fear, anxiety, and trust.
• Translate business requirements and data funnel metrics into simplified conversational AI flows and mobile-first solutions.
• Ensure customers can navigate complex automated workflows without confusion, maintaining transparency and explainability in AI-driven decisions.
• Turn user insight into concrete design — user flows, prototypes, and behavior-driven decisions (Figma and design systems in service of that, not as the focus).
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, maintaining an efficient handoff process while protecting user intuition.
• Constructively challenge product directions and support the team under high-velocity delivery environments.
• Diagnose funnel drop-offs from real data (product analytics, reports, call-center signals) and reproduce the root cause before redesigning.
• Act as the end user's advocate, defending their experience with engineering and executive leadership even when it challenges the business.

This role owns the consumer psychology and UX strategy behind an AI-first product that guides people through high-anxiety financial processes. The core is understanding what the user feels — fear of being audited, distrust of AI, anxiety about sharing sensitive data — and designing fast, intuitive, mobile-first flows that replace that anxiety with clarity, speed, and trust. This psychological dimension is the #1 requirement, but not the only one: the person must also be an excellent UX and product craftsperson who turns insight into real conversational flows. You will act as the end user's advocate, defending their experience with engineering and leadership even when it challenges the business. In a high-velocity, fully remote environment, you will translate real funnel and drop-off data into radically simplified conversational AI flows. This is a role for a strategic practitioner who thinks in terms of user and system behavior, not just screens.
